CAAS Accreditation

CAAS

Congratulations to MedStar EMS, the exclusive ambulance service provider to 15 Tarrant County cities, for joining the elite group of medical transportation service providers that are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS).

Of the 2,500 licensed ambulance providers in North America, only 133 are CAAS accredited. With this achievement, MedStar becomes only the fourth ambulance service to be accredited in the state of Texas.

The first EPAB Quarterly CE for 2010 has begun. This year our focus will be on going 'Back to the Basics!'. This quarter we are covering various aspects of assessing and treating pediatric patients. We will also be teaching you how to handle transporting a patient with a cardiac cath sheath still in place along with several skills verifications stations.

This CE is mandatory for all MedStar Field Ops Employees, so be sure to sign up soon as the class sizes are limited. If you cannot make it to the class you have signed up for please let us know so that we can make your spot available for someone else.

The sign up sheets are on the EPAB board downstairs, and you can also find all the dates and times of the upcoming classes on the EPAB Calendar.
